‘City like him’ – Manchester City dragged into transfer drama, Jack Grealish could go other way

Jack Grealish’s time at Manchester City may be under question.

The Englishman has played only 605 minutes in the Premier League this season and has only 28 minutes over the past six league games for the Citizens.

Interest in the winger is now emerging but it could also see Manchester City dragged into the race for another player, who happens to be AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez.

There is an ongoing drama in Italy about the uncertain situations of the France international and his Rossoneri teammate Rafael Leao and Pep Guardiola’s side have been dragged into the middle of it all.

Journalist Maurizio Russo has spoken to Calciomercato.it about the left-back, revealing that the English champions are interested in the Frenchman. At the same time, Milan also have an interest in Grealish.

The reporter said: “He [Hernandez] was linked to Bayern to go and play with his brother, but the Germans have just renewed Davies and so the trail should disappear.

“City like him, where there is Grealish who could interest Milan if Leao were to leave. Real also like him, where Hernandez’s career began.”

This interweaving of sagas could potentially help Manchester City if they so wish, even if it seems complex right now.

They could find it easier to land Hernandez in the summer, as they can potentially use Grealish in their move for the 27-year-old, and help the Rossoneri sign a player who can replace Leao.
