Jonathan David has reportedly set his sights on joining a “top-tier” Premier League club when his contract at Lille expires this summer.
The Canada international will become a free agent in July and despite links with Barcelona, Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United, he has decided to pursue a move to a “top” Premier League side.

That is according to CaughtOffside" href="https://www.caughtoffside.com/2025/03/07/jonathan-david-man-united-transfers-newcastle-united-tottenham/" target="_blank">CaughtOffside, who report that Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in completing a Bosman deal for the 25-year-old.
David has scored 21 goals and provided 10 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions so far this season, and although he won’t rush a final decision, the Canadian would reportedly prefer to join a big Premier League club.
Man Utd are long-term admirers of the Lille star and a summer pursuit may make perfect sense given Ruben Amorim’s recent admission that finances may be tight at Old Trafford during the upcoming window.

Man Utd still want Victor Osimhen
Although Man Utd are interested in David, and a deal wouldn’t cost a penny in regards to a transfer fee, the Red Devils are still prioritising a move for Nigeria international Victor Osimhen.
The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Turkish outfit Galatasaray, but he is almost guaranteed to leave Napoli on a permanent deal this summer and Man Utd are reportedly ready to trigger his €75 million release clause.
