Samsung has captured its fans attention with the Galaxy S25 Edge, the fourth iteration of its 2025 flagship that was teased at the Galaxy S25 launch back in January. It hasn't confirmed the release date as yet but did mention that the handset would be out in the coming months.
While Samsung hasn't revealed a lot of information about the device, rumors and reports continue to trickle in from unofficial sources, with the latest providing precise details on the weight, thickness, and price of the Galaxy S25 Edge.
Galaxy S25 Edge will cost about the same as the Galaxy S25+
A leakster on X has posted some information about these specifics of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The handset is rumored to weigh 162g, exactly the same as the base model of the Galaxy S25, while measuring in at 5.84mm. We've already brought you real-life images of the device that show just how incredibly thin it is.
Samsung isn't positioning the Galaxy S25 Edge as a budget device, so don't think of it like a reincarnation of the Fan Edition models. This is meant to be a premium product and will command a premium price tag.
According to this leakster, the Galaxy S25 Edge's price will be similar to the Galaxy S25+, which starts at $999 in the United States. That's not surprising, as both devices have almost similar specs, with the Galaxy S25+'s better camera setup and the Galaxy S25 Edge's thinner frame being the notable exceptions.
Samsung hasn't confirmed when it's going to release the Galaxy S25 Edge. A recent report claimed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be launched on April 16 and sales will begin in May 2025. An initial production run of 40,000 units is claimed, suggesting that this device may only be available in limited markets amid very tight supply.
