Premier League responds to FSA letter on ticketing policies

Last month FSA chair Tom Greatrex wrote to the Premier League calling on the organisation to support our call for price freezes across the division ahead of the 2025-26 season, and this week the league responded.

Following ongoing discussions with the FSA’s Premier League Network – made up of supporter groups from across the country – we had three main requests of the Premier League:

For all clubs to agree a price freeze on all ticket prices for the 2025-26 season;

To support our call for the protection of concessionary tickets and to work with the FSA on reviewing the rules and guidance on ticketing in the Premier League Handbook;

To support our calls for urgent, meaingful dialogue between clubs and their supporter representatives on ticketing, with the utmost transparency given to representatives of FABs.

Now the Premier League’s chief executive Richard Masters has responded saying the league will review the rules around ticket policy with the member clubs in the near future.

Masters said: “We plan to hold further discussions with Clubs at our Shareholders’ Meeting at the end of March, where we intend to agree a process to review Rules and ticketing policy more broadly.”

The FSA and our supporter representatives will meet with the Premier League in spring, one of our bi-annual supporter engagement meetings, to discuss ticketing policy in further detail.
