David Moyes has issued a warning to on-loan wingers Jesper Lindstrom and Jack Harrison that they need to start producing tangible attacking contributions to have a future at Everton. Despite both having roles in which they primarily operate in the final third of the pitch, neither of the pair have either a goal or assist to their name in all competitions this season.

After initially arriving from Leeds United on August 23, Harrison provided four goals and three assists in 2023/24 but has none this term having returned again on loan from Elland Road due to a clause that allows him to go out while the Yorkshire club are outside the Premier League.

Lindstrom joined Everton on loan from Napoli on July 26 last year – having failed to find the net in 29 matches for the Italian side in 2023/24 – but the Denmark international, who the Blues have an option to sign permanently this summer (understood to be in the region of £19million), is still yet to break his duck in English football.

Asked in his pre-match press conference for Everton's trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers about the wide pair’s double blank, Moyes said: “Let’s be fair, you won’t have longevity if you’re not going to get me assists and you’re not going to get me goals. You have to find ways of coming up with those numbers, it’s just the world that we’re in.

“We can get all the statistics now and we can talk about it. Those two are both attacking players, I think both of them have done well but yeah, I need goals from them, I need assists from them.

“They both need to improve. They’ve done a really good job in recent weeks but they’re parts of the game we want them to improve on.”
