Arsenal U18s return to league action tomorrow morning and it is certainly a significant occasion as they face Tottenham away.
Adam Birchall’s side will be eager to get back to winning ways following their FA Youth Cup exit against Manchester United last week and the clash with Tottenham is an intriguing one.
Max Dowman has only played six league games for the U18s this season due to a variety of factors including international call-ups and involvement in first-team training. It will be interesting to see if the 15-year-old is involved on this occasion.
Meanwhile, left-back Josh Tahou will be hoping for another callup to the U18 squad after making his debut at that level against United.
Although he is still technically an U16 player, Tahou is highly rated by the club and gave a good account of himself against United as he made some important interventions.
Defensive midfielder Ife Ibrahim also caught the eye against United and was rewarded with involvement in first-team training ahead of the game against PSV.
Ibrahim has been a regular in the starting lineup for the U18s this season and has continued to make excellent progress, which has included him being called up to the U21 squad.
Another player who has been called up to the U21s is Samuel Onyekachukwu, with the centre-back having impressed on his debut for the second-string in a 2-2 draw away to Crystal Palace this week.
