Announcement imminent on Leeds United boardroom departure - Sky Sports

Everton are expected to announce the appointment of Angus Kinnear, with Leeds United seeing the CEO depart at the end of the season.

Leeds have a Championship promotion race to take most of their focus at the moment, with off-field matters merely background noise to Daniel Farke.

However, the 49ers are set to be forced into more boardroom reshuffling in the coming weeks with another key figure set to depart.

Kinnear is not going to take on the role until the end of this season, though, seemingly looking to see out the promotion bid at Elland Road before taking on the task of overseeing the Toffees’ move from Goodison Park to Bramley Moore Dock.

Kinnear another to replace, but Leeds fans won’t be that bothered

Because Kinnear had little to do with on-field matters, it’s hard to truly quantify his impact positively or negatively at the club like it is with Victor Orta, for example.

However, there aren’t many Leeds fans that will be losing sleep over Kinnear’s exit, given that he’s seen as one third of the ownership setup that saw us fail to make it stick in the Premier League.

The 49ers obviously have to replace him well, but the way they’ve conducted business since our relegation has been exemplary.
