'Delighted': Eddie Howe has taken time to praise Joelinton after huge news this week

Newcastle United's first-choice midfield trio are all fit and ready to go for the tail end of the season with some huge games to come for the Magpies.

Joelinton had been absent for a while, causing Eddie Howe to tinker with the midfield in his absence with Joe Willock and Lewis Miley seeing plenty of minutes on the pitch in the Brazilian's absence.

Now that he's back, the midfield trio of Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Joelinton will be hoping they can restore that magic that helped Newcastle go on a nine-game winning streak earlier this season.

While it has been huge for Newcastle to have Joelinton back for selection, we're not the only team to benefit from his return to fitness as J7 has been recalled to the Brazil squad for the first time in months.

Joelinton is back in the Brazil squad

Joelinton has been recalled to the Brazil national squad

Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes will link up with Brazil later this month after a huge gap between this call up and Joelinton's last. As excited as the Brazilian besties will be, Eddie Howe is also chuffed that Joelinton is back in the National set up, telling the media this morning that he's delighted for Joey.

"Huge news for him. We're delighted for Joe. He's such a passionate guy.

"He's had his own injury troubles and I thought one of the highs of Sunday was to see him return.

"Not just return but return in his best way; running, chasing, winning balls, being a reinforcer for us in that position. So I'm delighted for him and I think it's just testament really to his character."

Joelinton has been in and out of the Brazil squad

It took Joelinton a long time to break into the Brazil squad but since finding his home in the middle of the park, he started to catch the eye of the National bosses with Ramon Menzes handing him his debut, but as the Copa America approached with Dorival Junior at the helm, Joelinton lost his place in the squad.

It has been a long time coming, but a recall to the Brazil squad is more than deserved for Joelinton who has been transformed under Eddie Howe.

Hopefully he'll get some minutes for Brazil this month rather than suffering a Tino Livramento situation of having to watch from the bench.
