The Manchester United legend isn't happy with what fans have said about his commentary during the Champions League match.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand his hit back at a Liverpool fan after he accused the pundit of being biased during his Champions League coverage.

On Wednesday night, Liverpool produced a shock smash and grab win over Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League clash at the Parc des Princes.

Throughout the match, fans of the Merseyside club took to social media to criticise TNT Sports over their decision to put former United defender Ferdinand on commentary for the match, due to his historic rivalry with Liverpool.

However, one fan took it even further as he accused the pundit of being biased, and now Ferdinand has hit back.

Early in the match, Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate made a last-ditch challenge on PSG winger Bradley Barcola that Ferdinand was adamant should have led to a red card that would have certainly caused major issues for the visitors.

Because of this, online Liverpool personality Anfield Agenda put out a video addressing Ferdinand's commentary during the game and criticising him for not speaking after Harvey Elliott's late goal sealed the win for the Reds.

But, Ferdinand was quick to shut the fan down, as he replied to the post, writing: "Morning Craig. I wasn’t on the gantry when Liverpool scored.

"Like in the 1st half where I left the commentary position to go back down Pitchside after 36 minutes. I was asked to do the same in the 2nd half prior to the goal. Thanks."

In the clip posted on X, Anfield Agenda said: "Look football fans have had enough of the likes of Ferdinand and others.

"They've had enough of bitter commentators not having any neutrality in the job that they're doing.

You don't need people like Rio Ferdinand there commentating on a Liverpool game knowing that he doesn't want to see you do anything or win anything. He should be behind the English club.

"But as is always the case with these commentators, their previous bias creeps in. Let me just say this wholeheartedly, f*** you, Rio."

Ferdinand has worked as part of the commentary team at TNT Sports for several years, and has previously received backlash for letting the feelings from his playing career influence his punditry.
