Arsenal are preparing to make a move for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic in a cut-price £25 million deal as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season.
The 25-year-old Serbian international has long been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal were keen on signing him before his £58 million transfer from Fiorentina to Juventus in January 2022, when he was at the peak of his form. At the time, Vlahovic had netted 21 goals in 40 matches during the 2020/21 campaign and followed it up with 20 goals in 24 games at the start of the next season.
However, since moving to Turin, Vlahovic has struggled to replicate the same level of performance. His best season with Juventus came in 2023/24 when he scored 18 goals in 38 appearances, but he has not fully lived up to the expectations set during his Fiorentina days.

With less than 18 months remaining on his contract and no agreement yet on an extension, speculation around Vlahovic’s future has intensified. According toTutto Juve, Arsenal are now “ready to move” and hope to take advantage of the stalled contract talks between the player and Juventus.

A fee in the region of £25 million—less than half of what Juventus paid three years ago—could be enough to seal the deal. While Juventus may seek a higher fee, they could be forced to accept a lower offer to avoid losing him for free when his contract expires in June 2026.
If no new contract is agreed upon, this summer represents Juventus’ last real opportunity to cash in on Vlahovic rather than risk losing him for nothing in two years.

Vlahovic’s uncertain future has been a talking point in Italy, especially after he was benched for a Serie A clash against Como last month. Addressing speculation about the striker, Juventus head coach Thiago Motta insisted that Vlahovic remains an important part of his squad.
“I see him in great shape, just like everyone else,” Motta said. “They’re all motivated and determined. Tomorrow, as usual, we have many players, but not everyone can play, even though they all want to.
“Whether they play 95 minutes, 15, or 30, they know that in a season, the quality of minutes matters more than quantity. Dusan has already done a lot, and I’m sure that if he plays tomorrow, he will contribute. We count on him for the future as well.”
Despite Motta’s comments, Arsenal will be closely monitoring Vlahovic’s situation as they seek to reinforce their attack ahead of a crucial summer transfer window.
