Wrexham have undergone a massive squad overhaul within the last 12 months, seeing a number of players let go.
In the 2025 January transfer window alone, Wrexham parted ways with seven players on permanent and loan deals.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson signed for Burton Albion following the expiration of his contract and was swiftly joined by two more Red Dragons stars at his new club.
Wrexham released Anthony Forde on deadline day last month, and he too linked up with Burton alongside former midfielder James Jones.
Billy Waters, James Rainbird, Aaron James and Callum Edwards all departed as well, while Jake Bickerstaff saw his loan deal with Altrincham extended for another six months.
Meanwhile, in the summer of 2024, Wrexham released a number of players, some of whom had previously been key assets.

How Daniel Davies is faring after Wrexham release
Among the names who departed the Racecourse Ground in 2024 was 20-year-old Daniel Davies.
Davies is a Wrexham native and began his career in the club’s youth ranks but was never able to break into the senior team.
MORE WREXHAM STORIES
His only first-team appearance for the club came on November 7th, 2023, in an EFL Trophy meeting with Port Vale.
Wrexham won that tie 2-1, with Davies starting the clash and featuring for a total of 61 minutes.
During his time on the Welsh outfit’s books, the left-back, as reported by GOAL, had trials at Chelsea in 2021 and was even said to have had trial offers from Premier League sides Liverpool and Brighton and Hove Albion as well as Championship club Stoke City.
The defender was not picked up by the Blues, however, and after he was released by Wrexham at the end of June 2024, he joined Welsh club Flint Town.
Flint Town are currently plying their trade in the Cymru Premier and finished 10th in the normal season (out of 12 teams).
They are now battling it out in the relegation play-offs, sitting third in a table made up of six clubs competing to avoid the drop.

Wrexham players out of contract in 2025
Come June 2025, Wrexham’s released list is likely to be smaller but could still see a few big names leave.
Steven Fletcher is out of contract at the end of this season and given his age, it’s hard to see him being offered another deal.
Goalkeeper Mark Howard is in a similar situation, though he could be kept around as third-choice to provide valuable experience and knowledge.
Wrexham need to give youngster Harry Ashfield a new contract as well, while Josh Adam, Liam Hall, and Brad Foster have options of an extra 12 months in their deals that are due to expire this year.
