Read James' incredible story
The young Forest fan has raised over £6100 for charity
The eight-year-old returns to The City Ground tomorrow as mascot
Last week, we told you James’ amazing story.
The Nottingham Forest fan at just seven years old was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, which had spread to his spine.
Intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy as a result of his diagnosis meant James had to learn to walk again.
Despite James’ diagnosis, and what he has been through already, he has carried on smiling, and two weeks ago, he undertook a sponsored walk around the perimeter of the hallowed City Ground pitch to raise important funds for Children’s Brain Cancer Research.
Our very own Morgan Gibbs-White, James’ favourite Forest player, joined him on his walk which has so far raised over £6100 on his JustGiving page.
His courage and selflessness are a shining light, and we’re honoured to have James in our Forest family.
Tomorrow, with the Reds facing off against Manchester City, we’re delighted to welcome this little hero back to The City Ground to be a mascot.
As a club, we can’t wait to see James with his heroes and enjoying what we all hope will be a special day for the club.
