How much can Arsenal earn from the sale of Tavares?
Lazio have an option to buy Tavares at the end of the season. They will need to pay Gunners €5 million to secure the services of the Portugese. They are clearing looking at the value as a bargain right now whereas Arsenal will feel like they should have asked for more.
Tavares has 9 assists in Lazio shirt this season. He has been one of the best full-backs in Italy and has attracted interest from multiple clubs. Il Corriere Dello Sport have reported that Lazio value Tavares at around €60 million to €65 million.
Gunners will recieve only €5 million at first from Lazio for Tavares. But, they have a 40% sell-on clause included in his contract. If Lazio are able to sell Tavares for €65 million, the smart piece of business from North London club will help them around €25 million.
Gunners do have plenty options available at left-back and hence losing Tavares will not affect them that much. But, they will feel that they missed on big amount of money. However, the sell-on clause will help them by reducing the regret.
