“No less than €50m” – Manchester United sent transfer warning, player is very popular

Manchester United will need at least €50m if they wish to sign Ederson from Atalanta this summer and could face competition from Juventus.

That’s according to journalist Filippo Maggi, a journalist ‘very close’ to the Atalanta environment, who has been speaking about the Brazilian [Calciomercato.it.](https://x.com/calciomercatoit/status/1898020862445387939)

Ederson is one of the key players in the current Atalanta team, impressing last season in particular as they won the Europa League.

He’s been picking up admirers around Europe for the best part of a year, particularly in the Premier League, where several sides have been credited with an interest.

Manchester United are one of them as they plan for another big summer and a continuation of the overhaul they’ve started under Ruben Amorim.

Indeed, a report this week had them alongside Manchester City as sides to have tested the waters around the midfielder ahead of the summer. That wasn’t the first time they’d been put in the mix, with a report in December saying Manchester United had ‘increased their interest’ in him.

Competition for the transfer is likely to be high and Maggi insists Juventus could be in the mix, with Ederson set to cost €50m minimum.

“Ederson is very popular,” he said on their TiAmCalciomercato show.

“Despite some coldness over the Koopmeiners affair, the relationship between Atalanta and Juventus is not difficult. If there were to be the will, I see no obstacles. The Brazilian has a significant valuation, no less than €50-55m.”
