The Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with tight end Tanner Hudson, a league source confirms.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter was first to report the news that the Bengals had signed Hudson, who caught 19 passes for 194 yards with one touchdown while averaging 8.1 yards per reception.
Hudson, 30, is a quality depth piece for the Bengals, at a position that includes dynamic pass catchers Mike Gesicki and Eric All.

Backup tight end Tanner Hudson was a substantial improvement at the tight end position over Smith.
The 6-foot-5 and 239-pound Hudson has caught 73 passes for 705 yards and two touchdowns through the first five seasons of his career.
Hudson has a strong chemistry with Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, and bringing him back could be a key move as Cincinnati continues to work towards a long-term deal with Gesicki while also negotiating his offseason with receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, who the Bengals used the franchise tag on for the second consecutive offseason.
