Liverpool star Alisson Becker shows true Arsenal colours in shocking revelation

Alisson Becker has been one of the key parts of Liverpool's success this season, but some Red fans have been left shocked after his surprising childhood revelation led to Jamie Carragher 'storming out' of an interview.

After making nine crucial saves against the Parisian side, Alisson was the man of the moment and was naturally scooped up for an interview with Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards on CBS. After getting into the nitty gritty of the game the interview took a lighter turn when the goalkeeper started to profess his admiration for the former Arsenal forward.

Prompted by Richard's asking: "Have you seen our show? Have you seen the clips online?" which was swiftly followed up by asking the Brazilian who his favourite pundit was.

Despite Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher on the other end of the call, Alisson revealed he preferred the Arsenal man, responding: "I think I would have to say Thierry, legend. When I was growing up, I watched a lot of Arsenal in the early 2000s when he was playing. So, it was the only team that was showing on the TV in Brazil."

The revelation led to Carragher and Richards comedically storming off the stage in disgrace. Although the Scouser may be happy to forgive the keeper after being a huge part in what he described as "one of the biggest robberies in football".

The former defender continued his admiration for the goal stopper who he thought performed his career, "I can't believe what I've just witnessed. PSG were outstanding and battered Liverpool. That was arguably the greatest performance of his career, certainly in a Liverpool shirt."

Sadly for Arsenal fans, the goalkeeper looks very happy at his new home in Merseyside, with his contract running for another two years until summer 2027 and no rumours linking him to any club away from Liverpool, it doesn't look like one of the world's best shot stoppers will be making a move to north London anytime soon.
