Scientific Reports is an open-access multidisciplinary Nature Portfolio journal that publishes original research from across all areas of the natural sciences, psychology, medicine, and engineering. The journal started launching Collections in 2017, which are a compilation of published articles related to a topic area of interest for readers, and this led to a dedicated Collections Management & Acquisition (CMA) team, formed in 2022, regularly launching and publishing exciting Collections related to a multitude of research areas.
In 2015, all United Nations Member States adoptedThe 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which identifies17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and “providesa shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for all”. These goals were implemented in theSpringer Nature’s SDG Programme, which is committed to opening up and widely sharing research.
As the best way we can contribute to these goals is through the articles and Collections we publish and share, the CMA team aims to increase the number of Collections launched associated with an SDG in hopes of playing a small part in such a significant cause.
