Ruben Amorim has tipped three Manchester United players to potentially return for the Red Devils’ upcoming Premier League clash against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
The 40-year-old Manchester United manager has had to contend with injuries to his Red Devils first-team squad in recent weeks amid United’s poor run of form.
The Red Devils will return to action on Sunday when they host Premier League title challengers Arsenal at Old Trafford, with kick-off slated for 4:30pm UK time.
Ruben Amorim’s men were in action on Thursday night and United secured a 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad in their first-leg last-16 Europa League clash.
Joshua Zirkzee put United 1-0 up in the second half before Mikel Oyarzabal pulled the Spanish side back into the Europa League match from the spot-kick.
Following United’s result against Real Sociedad, the Red Devils will welcome the La Liga club to Old Trafford next Thursday for the second-leg Europa League tie.

However, the Manchester United manager revealed that Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw, Manuel Ugarte and Mason Mount could return for the Red Devils.
Amorim admitted that his concern is being “careful” with United stars returning from injury, but he refused to rule out picking any returning injured player against Arsenal.
“Lisandro is out, Kobbie [Mainoo] can return,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“The rest, my worry is we have to be careful. Manu [Ugarte] will return, I think Luke Shaw and Mason Mount can return also. We’ll see.”

Ruben Amorim hinted at excitement about Mason Mount
Amorim was asked about the possibility of seeing Amad Diallo back for the Europa League final if United reach that stage of the competition in May.
The United manager moved on from the discussion around Amad, but Amorim suggested that Mason Mount is one player who is “definitely” going to return.
“Let’s talk about Sunday! We’ll see but they definitely are going to return, especially Mason Mount,” Amorim said.
Mount has been absent from United first-team action after he was forced off in the Red Devils’ 2-1 comeback win against Manchester City in the Premier League last December.
The 26-year-old United star’s run at Old Trafford has been disrupted by injuries since his move from Premier League side Chelsea in 2023.
However, Amorim appears to be a big fan of Mount and the former Chelsea ace is the type of player built for the United manager’s tactical system.
