Ruben Amorim’s tenure at Manchester United has been anything but smooth, with pressure mounting as his team struggles for form ahead of Sunday’s crucial clash with Arsenal.
Since replacing Erik ten Hag in November, Amorim has overseen a turbulent spell at Old Trafford.
United have lost eight of their 16 Premier League matches under his guidance.

Eliminations from both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup have added to the disappointment.
Just the Europa League stands as the only competition where United still have a chance of success.
Although many pundits doubt their ability to go all the way.
The Red Devils go into the second leg of RO16 with the home advantage, after Thursday’s 1-1 clash against Real Sociedad.
As United prepare to face title-chasing Arsenal, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has weighed in on the situation, offering a blunt warning to Amorim.
Rather than worrying about Mikel Arteta’s side, Carragher believes Amorim’s real concerns should lie closer to home.
Jamie Carragher issues word of warning to Ruben Amorim
“It is the supporters and executives Amorim really needs to worry about,” Carragher told The Telegraph.
“They will have a timeframe in mind for United getting back to the top.
“They may have calculated taking a step back before they can imagine leaping forward.
“What they would not have imagined is a side which is performing so consistently badly.”
Carragher didn’t hold back in his criticism, calling this “the worst United team of my lifetime” and questioning whether any player had actually improved under Amorim.

“The bare minimum that could have been expected after Amorim took charge.
“That the team would look like they are being coached better than they were under Ten Hag.
“That has not materialised,” he added.
“United’s players have not responded well to his methods.
“Has a single player looked any better than they were under Ten Hag?”
Amorim himself admitted in January that he was managing one of the worst teams in United’s history.
An assertion that sparked backlash from pundits at the time.
