Matchday Memories: On This Day 2020 – See Mark’s Men See Off Season Suddenly In Ipswich.

**Marko Marosi, Fankaty Dabo, Dom Hyam, Kyle McFadzean, Michael Rose, Sam McCallum, Liam Kelly** (c), **Liam Walsh, Jamie Allen** (sub. **Jordan Shipley** -67), **Callum O’Hare** (sub. **Zain Westbrooke** -85) and **Matty Godden** (sub. **Amadou Bakayoko** -78).

**Josh Pask, Ryan Giles,** **Max Biamou** and **Ben Wilson** (gk).

It is perhaps surprising that two of this team still feature in the Sky Blues squad in the _Championship_ five years later, Jamie and Ben.

Ipswich Town:

Will Norris (gk), Luke Chambers (c), Gwion Edwards, Cole Skuse, Jon Nolan, Teddy Bishop (sub. Armando Dobra -74), Alan Judge, **Freddie Sears** (sub. Tyreece Simpson -68), Andre Dozzell, Luke Woolfenden and Luke Garbutt (sub. Josh Earl -64)  _Unused Subs:_ James Wilson, Ben Morris, Emyr Huws and Tomas Holy (gk).  Referee: Trevor Kettle

**Freddy Sears** had some loan games in a Sky Blue shirt during 2010.

Following the enforced curtailment of the football season, after a little delay, the Sky Blues were eventually awarded the _League One_ title on a points per game formula rearding their already dominant and deserved position at the top of the table.

Runners up to the Sky Blues, Rotherham United (then captained by former Sky Blue, and CCFPA member, **Richard Wood**) were also automatically promoted. The Tractor Boys finished eleventh. Wycombe Wanderers joined them both via the playoffs after making it into the top six via a goals per game adjustment.

Tranmere Rovers, Southend United and Bolton Wanderers took the drop. Bury had already been expelled by the _Football League_ for irregularities.
