Journalist reveals Nottingham Forest rejecting bid for player – Patience wearing thin on his side

Nottingham Forest have turned down an offer from Palmeiras for forward Ramón Sosa, despite the player growing impatient with a lack of minutes.

That’s according to journalist Christian Martin, [speaking to Somos Paraguay](https://x.com/SomosVersusPY/status/1898036840919085362), who has revealed all regarding the offer made to Nottingham Forest.

Sosa has played a bit part role under Nuno Espirito Santo at Nottingham Forest this season, with the continued good form of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Antony Elanga continuing to keep him out of the side as they push for a top four finish.

The Paraguayan has taken this well, continuing to make a positive impression despite his lack of minutes this season.

Reports in January did link him with a move away from the club, though, believing his substitute role could push him towards the exit and to seek a move elsewhere.

That never happened and he remained where he was, but the 25-year-old’s situation has not improved, with him failing to make a single appearance in the Premier League in February and even being left out of the squad for the win over Ipswich Town in the FA Cup.

That absence was particularly striking, and Martin says patience is wearing thin, particularly with Palmeiras having made an offer for him.

“On the side of the English club they say patience. Now it seems to me that Ramón is not 20 or 19 years old either. His patience is starting to wear thin. To such an extent that I would not rule out Ramón leaving,” he said.

“Palmeiras wanted to buy Ramón Sosa. The figure was high, Palmeiras has money, Brazilian football has good purchasing power. And the club rejected it, the Greek owners rejected the offer.

“It was, I think it was even more money for Ramón, but he wants to stay in the Premier League. It seems to me that Ramón is going to have interest from big clubs in the Premier League to leave in the summer break if this situation does not improve.

“He wants to stay in the Premier League. Ramón seems to me to be made to play in the Premier League he is not made to go to Palmeiras.”
