Gary Neville predicts Man Utd vs Arsenal scoreline, and who will score for Ruben Amorim's side

Manchester United host Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

Before facing Arsenal, Manchester United are in Europa League action with a round of 16 clash against Real Sociedad on Thursday night.

That means United will only have Friday and Saturday to prepare for Arsenal’s visit, and they will also need to fly back from San Sebastian during that time.

It doesn’t help that Arsenal go into the game after beating PSV Eindhoven 7-1 in the Champions League. The Gunners may be striker-less for the rest of the season after injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, but they managed to put the sword to their Eredivisie opponents.

Although Arsenal already beat United in the league this season, the Gunners will be seeking revenge after losing on penalties against the Reds when they crashed out of the FA Cup third round.

United have been poor defensively this season and Arsenal will be looking to replicate their comfortable victory over PSV.

Gary Neville predicts Arsenal will struggle at Old Trafford

There is pressure on both teams to get a result on Sunday.

United are positioned 14th in the Premier League and need to win football matches if they are to climb back into the top half of the table.

On the other hand, Arsenal must get a win to salvage any kind of hope of them remaining in the title race, even though it looks like Liverpool are on their way to glory under Arne Slot.

It will be Amorim’s first Premier League tie against Arsenal since becoming United head coach.

Neville has predicted a 1-1 scoreline with Bruno Fernandes getting on the scoresheet.

Speaking on the latest episode of It’s Called Soccer, Neville said: “United are playing so poorly at the moment, but they do sometimes lift their game against big opponents.

“And I feel on Sunday, the crowd will be there with them. And I think it will be 1-1 – scorer for United will be Bruno Fernandes.”

United fans have rallied behind the team this season and they can be heard singing Amorim’s name on the terraces every week, despite poor results.

That support will continue on Sunday following a pre-match anti-Glazer protest, which has been arranged by United fan group The 1958.

Bruno Fernandes record against Arsenal

Roy Keane may not think Fernandes is a leader, but Neville has predicted that the Portuguese Magnifico is most likely going to be the player to cause Arsenal problems on Sunday.

Fernandes has faced Arsenal 11 times throughout his career and 9 times as a United player.
