Vinicius Jr.’s future at Real Madrid has been a subject of much discussion lately, especially after the forward recently doubled down on his desire to continue at Real Madrid.
This came as a major blow for Saudi Arabia, who wants to make the Brazilian international the biggest icon of the country’s football league, which has already attracted a host of top footballers across the world.
Saudi Arabia wants to use Vinicius’ image to build the country’s footballing brand, ahead of the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
Saudi Arabia even have an irresistible €1 billion offer for Vinicius, spread across five years – an offer too good to turn down.

This comes in the aftermath of his recent comments, where he admitted that he is happy at Real Madrid and will look to renew his contract soon.
Real Madrid, for their part, are eager to tie Vinicius down to a new contract. This could be problematic for Saudi Arabia, who may have a stellar offer for the player, but are unwilling to pay a fortune to Real Madrid.
Indeed, the report suggests Vinicius’ release clause ranging around €1 billion has become a major hurdle for Saudi Arabia. This is coupled with the fact that the player is eager to renew his contract.
That said, the report clarifies that any talks regarding Vinicius’ contract are still in the initial phase and any tangible negotiation will only take place in the summer.
Saudi Arabia, therefore, may have no choice but to play the waiting game and hope for the best.
