Last season DeMarvion Overshown was looking like a breakout star in the middle of the Dallas Cowboys defense.
It had been his first season on the field after suffering a knee injury in the preseason in 2023. Then through 13 games in 2024 ... he went down again.
In Dallas' December matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, Overshown tore his ACL, MCL and PCL, ending his season for the second consecutive year.
While many reports said this injury would knock the former Texas Longhorn out for the entire 2025 season, there seems to be positive strides made in his recovery.
Cowboys writer Calvin Watkins posted on social media: "In a positive sign toward his recovery DeMarvion Overshown was at The Star without using crutches."
Considering the severity of this injury - to the same knee as before - this update raises the optimism surrounding his recovery.

His absence further emphasizes the need for linebacker help this offseason.
Last offseason's signee Eric Kendricks is a free agent and our Mike Fisher has an update on him below about his possible return to Dallas. A big push that got Kendricks to the Cowboys was defensive coordinator hire Mike Zimmer; we will see if that translates now.
