Chelsea are keeping tabs on Real Betis winger Jesus Rodriguez, according to a report.
The 19-year-old is quickly becoming one of LaLiga's breakout stars this season. Rodriguez only made his senior Real Betis debut in the Copa del Rey in October, but he has already established himself as a regular starter.
With Man Utd loanee Antony on the right and Rodriguez on the left, Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini has managed to construct a hugely exciting frontline for the Seville-based club.

Rodriguez has skill and pace and he terrorised Real Madrid's defence during their shock 2-1 loss to the Verdiblancos last weekend. The teenager won the penalty against Antonio Rudiger that ultimately sealed all three points, with former Real Madrid man Isco cooly converting.
Given that he has only been part of the senior setup for a few months, there are still parts of his game that Rodriguez needs to improve. So far, he has only managed to score and assist once, but his talent is obvious.

His talent is so obvious, in fact, that Chelsea have now begun keenly following his development, according to the Daily Mail. It is claimed that the Blues have even 'stepped up their interest' to avoid potentially missing out to his other suitors, which are said to include Liverpool.
Rodriguez boasts a €50 million release clause, which could make a transfer difficult to pull off. However, it is no surprise that Chelsea have taken a keen interest in the Spaniard.

LaLiga has been a happy hunting ground for them in recent times. Last summer, they signed Marc Guiu from Barcelona for a bargain €6m and they were also on the verge of signing then-Atletico Madrid striker Samu Aghehowa before the deal collapsed at the final hurdle.
Chelsea were also heavily linked with a move for LaLiga2 starlet Yeremay Hernandez of Deportivo la Coruna in January, but the Spanish club ultimately decided against selling.
