While others focus on trading for NFC West wide receivers DK Metcalf and Brandon Aiyuk, at least one NFL team has its eyes set on a different prize. According to Pittsburgh Steelers beat reporter Nick Farabaugh, Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton is a name to watch in Pittsburgh's quest to find offensive weapons.
Maybe it's a good time to bump this. But I don't think the trade name to watch for the Steelers at WR is Metcalf or Aiyuk.
I think it's Courtland Sutton. https://t.co/Jj90bZnlgrhttps://t.co/jTiVdREqKo

In year one, paired with quarterback Bo Nix, Sutton had his most productive season as a pro. He finished with a career-high 81 receptions, 1,081 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.
On the surface, it doesn't make sense for Denver to trade Sutton away. He's coming off a career year and showed tremendous chemistry with Nix. On the flip side, he's also 29 years old and could be looking for a pay raise to match his increase in production.
With Denver still working to extend defensive stars Zach Allen and Nik Bonitto, it might be difficult to afford Sutton in the long run. If they're unlikely to extend Sutton, they must consider moving him before losing him for nothing next off-season.
Another season in Denver makes sense for both parties, but Broncos General Manager George Paton and Head Coach Sean Payton must weigh the pros and cons of that decision.
