Trevoh Chalobah gets Copenhagen player’s support following online racist abuse

Copenhagen defender Kevin Diks has offered solidarity to Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah after the latter was subjected to racist attacks on social media.

Diks injured his ankle as the pair collided in the second half of the London club’s 2-1 Europa Conference League win on Thursday night.

But the Indonesian international has absolved his opponent of any blame and lashed out at fans who used racist slurs against Chalobah in the aftermath.

> It was my own mistake. I do not tolerate racism or discrimination in any form. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and equality.

Writing on X, Diks said: “I’ve noticed racial abuse towards @TrevohChalobah on Instagram regarding my injury.

“It was my own mistake. I do not tolerate racism or discrimination in any form. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and equality.”

The PA news agency has approached Chelsea for comment.
