Leeds United have decided on a succession plan as Angus Kinnear and Peter McCormick are set to work together until the end of the season.
Kinnear will leave Elland Road next summer and join Everton, which is arguably a big blow for the West Yorkshire outfit.
The Whites’ chief executive officer has been influential over the years for them, and it remains to be seen who will replace him once he departs.
Paraag Marathe could usher in major changes at Elland Road once Kinnear officially relinquishes his duties in the coming months.

The news outlet reports (7 March) that while the Whites have appointed McCormick as their executive vice-chairman, he isn’t a replacement for the outgoing CEO.

The CEO was the only member of the previous regime to survive the 49ers’ takeover but is now set to end his eight-year association with the West Yorkshire outfit.

Kinnear exit big blow at Elland Road
Everton and Leeds could find themselves competing against each other next season as Daniel Farke had Premier League promotion in sight.
The Whites are among the favourites to win the Championship in the current campaign as they sit at the top of the table.
While the West Yorkshire outfit had a bit of a slip-up against West Brom at Elland Road and dropped two points on 1 March, it would take an extraordinary collapse for them to miss out on promotion.
Kinnear’s departure will leave a massive vacuum in the Whites’ hierarchy as it will be difficult to find someone as astute as him to take charge.
While times haven’t always been rosy under the outgoing CEO, the West Yorkshire outfit have enjoyed a relative period of success in recent years.
The Whites are losing a key member of their backroom staff to a domestic rival, which isn’t an ideal scenario.
Everton have gotten themselves out of the relegation scrap since The Friedkin Group’s (TFG’s) arrival, and Kinnear’s appointment at the Toffees will only make things difficult for Farke’s team once they get back into the Premier League.
