Wayne Rooney has been taking a walk around the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium recently, and even had the chance to stop and given an interview with Everton.
David Moyes has got his Everton side doing the business on the field, and the Friedkin Group are taking a hold of things off it.
The announcement that Angus Kinnear is set to join Everton comes as part of a big shake-up behind the scenes on Merseyside, with Richard Kenyon and Kevin Thelwell to depart.
It’s certainly an exciting time to be an Everton fans, with the new stadium to look forward to and a summer transfer window that allows for money to be spent given the smart approach in January.
Interestingly, Wayne Rooney is getting in on the act, doing a tour of the new stadium and even answering questions on his former Everton teammates.
Wayne Rooney names Thomas Gravesen as the best Everton player he ever played with
Thomas Gravesen made the move to Everton all the way back in 2000 for £2.5 million from Hamburg SV.
He made quite a name for himself in the four and a half years he spent at Goodison Park for his first stint, before returning in 2007 in a loan deal from Celtic.

In total he made 167 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists, as one of the most feared central midfielders at the time. His aggressive approach really set the tone for Everton.

And it appears as if his quality didn’t go unnoticed, as Wayne Rooney has named him as the best Everton player he ever played with.
Speaking on Everton’s official X account, Rooney was asked who his ‘best Everton teammate’ was.
He responded with.
‘I would probably say that Thomas Gravesen is the best player I’ve played with.’
What has Thomas Gravesen said about Wayne Rooney
The former Everton midfielder happens to have grown fond of Rooney in the time they played together, speaking to Sky Sports about how good the youngster was.
“I have seen him in games and close up, but as you saw against us he was deadly.
“As soon as he sees the six-yard box he is deadly. Twice he could have killed us.
“Not only is Wayne very strong but he is clever too and he knows what to do with the ball.
“He makes the players around him better because he takes the ball and passes – and gives other players time on the ball.
“He is a player that makes other players better.”
