Stephen A. Smith snaps back after altercation with LeBron James

Things are getting tense in the sports medisasphere when it comes to the NBA. Last week, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith traded jabs back and forth through the media, and on Thursday night, the pair met up face-to-face.

Smith has recently criticized LeBron and the Lakers’ handling of James’s son, Bronny, who was drafted in the second round of the NBA draft and is splitting his time between the NBA and the G-League.

Now, appears that James has heard Smith’s comments about his son and that he’s not happy about them.

“I’MMA TELL YOU ONE TIME, BRO. KEEP MY SON OUT OF THIS ****, BRO,” James said to Smith after walking up to him at the Lakers game on Thursday night.

Smith responded to the incident on Friday morning.

“That was LeBron James coming up to me, unexpectedly I might add, to confront me about making sure I mind what I say about his son,” Smith said to the host of ESPN’s popular debate show, First Take, Molly Qerim. “I can’t repeat the words because they aren’t suited for FCC airwaves. That’s what he was doing.”

“That wasn’t a basketball player confronting me,” Smith added. “That was a parent. That was a father.”

It’ll be interesting to see if LeBron decides to address the incident.
