Arne Slot will find it difficult to improve his best 11 at Liverpool during the summer.
The Dutch coach has exceeded all expectations at Anfield this season and it is even more impressive given the fact that the 46-year-old only saw Federico Chiesa added to his Liverpool squad last summer.
Liverpool attempted to sign Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi but the Euro 2024 winner would reject the Merseyside club in favour of staying in Spain for another season.
In hindsight, this has worked out, not only because it led to the rise of Ryan Gravenberch, but it has also allowed Slot to fully assess his squad while saving money for the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool are expected to be busy with Jamie Carragher calling for a new left-back to be brought to Anfield.
The Sky Sports pundit has now named a player he would ‘love’ to see at Liverpool and it is one fans of the Reds would not mind seeing.

Jamie Carragher wants Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers at Liverpool
Liverpool have been linked with Joshua Kimmich and Frenkie de Jong in recent weeks, but it seems that the duo are set to remain at Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
A move for either star would have been unlikely given their ages, which is why a suggestion Carragher has made makes more sense.

Speaking on Stick to Football, the Sky Sports pundit admitted he would love to see Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers at Liverpool.
“I tell you what, that Rogers is a good player, isn’t he?” Carragher stated. “You know what? I’d love him for Liverpool, he’s a good player him.”
Rodgers is a player who has caught many people’s eye this season, with Pep Guardiola labelling the English star “exceptional” after the 22-year-old scored against his Man City side back in December.
“Everyone knows how good is Morgan. I’m happy for him because he’s a lovely guy, he exploded this season and last season. He’s an exceptional player,” the legendary coach stated via Sky Sports.
Liverpool would find it very hard to get a deal for Rogers done but it is an option they should at least consider this summer.
Why a deal for Morgan Rogers is impossible for Liverpool
Rogers would be an exceptional signing for Liverpool to get over the line this summer as the English star is young, very versatile and has already shown he can perform at the highest level.
Carragher is spot-on with his assessment of the Aston Villa star and he is one of many Reds fans that would love to see the 22-year-old at Anfield.
However, with a contract at Villa Park until 2030, a move for the midfielder will not be cheap as Unai Emery will not want to lose one of his best players.

In addition to this, Slot would find it hard to give Rogers regular game time as the Dutch coach has been very happy with his midfield three of Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, evident in how rarely the 46-year-old rests the trio.
When it comes to his younger talents, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott have shown they are more than capable of supporting Slot’s best midfield three and they also have the ability to play in other positions.
All this indicates that Liverpool will not make a move for Rogers anytime soon, but it certainly could be an option for the Premier League leaders further down the line.
