Liverpool and Chelsea are both interested in acquiring the services of Real Betis attacking sensation Jesus Rodriguez.
Liverpool and Chelsea are constantly on the lookout for players who can help them in the long run, and they seem to have found a gem in Spain. According to a report from Fichajes, both Premier League clubs are interested in signing Jesus Rodriguez, who has made quite a name for himself coming up the ranks at Real Betis.
Rodríguez has been a part of the Betis youth setup since 2021. He has been a part of their reserve team since the summer of 2023. While he has yet to get promoted to the first team, his impressive work has finally helped him break into Manuel Pellegrini’s team.
The teenager was training with their first team since the start of the season, but he wasn’t even a part of their squad for the majority of their games in the first half. But he managed to gain the confidence of a Chilean coach and started getting minutes towards the end of 2024.
He has managed to get ahead of Ez Abde in the pecking order and has been a consistent feature in their starting since the start of 2025. He has already racked up 17 first-team appearances and even has three goal contributions to his name.
Rodríguez has featured on both flanks and has done a remarkable job for Pellegrini’s team. His pace and his ability to destabilise the defence have helped him make quite a name for himself. His performances haven’t gone unnoticed, and there are clubs who are gearing up to try and sign him.
Rodríguez could move to the Premier League?
Liverpool and Chelsea are two Premier League giants who have taken note of his sensational rise. The Reds are looking for a young winger as they look to freshen things up in their attack, and Rodríguez fits the bill.
Meanwhile, the Blues are constantly looking to sign players who can help them in the long run and the Betis sensational is an ideal fit for their project.
Both English clubs have set their eyes on him and are willing to try their luck next summer. Betis have him protected with a buyout clause worth €50 million, along with a contract that runs until the summer of 2029.
They don’t really have any intentions of selling one of their most valuable assets. However, a significant financial offer from either Liverpool or Chelsea can certainly make them reconsider their stance on his future.
