Southampton is next up for Liverpool as Arne Slot’s men continue their push for the Premier League title.
The Reds host the Saints at Anfield and given the positions of both teams in the table, many will feel that it will be an easy three points for the Premier League leaders.
Slot is aware that his Liverpool squad could let complacency creep into their minds ahead of the clash at Anfield, while also calling for Liverpool fans to be as loud as possible against Southampton as the Dutch coach is also wary of the mindset they might be in ahead of playing the Premier League’s bottom team.
With huge games against PSG and Newcastle on the horizon for Liverpool next week, Slot hinted at changes duirng his press conference on Friday.
“The one against Southampton is by far the most important, not only because it’s the first one we play, but it is a very, very important one for us,” the Liverpool boss said.
“So I make the choice to play other players, that is because I think that’s the biggest chance to win the game tomorrow, and not because I want to rest them for the game against PSG.
“The only way I make a change is because maybe it’s only two days in between and I might feel that playing someone else is a better option because we have many players that are of equal quality.”
With that in mind, this is how RTK believes the Reds could line up on Saturday against Southampton at Anfield.
