Cardinals Meeting With $21.6 Million Veteran Who Was Recently Released by a Division Rival

The Arizona Cardinals are expected to get busy fixing their defensive line quickly this offseason.

The team has a pass rush that was among the worst in the league when it came to creating pressure on opposing quarterbacks last season.

Their defensive line issues also made them one of the NFL's worst teams against the run.

Free agency hasn't opened yet in the NFL, but it looks like the Cardinals are already trying to find reinforcements for their struggling D-line.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Cardinals are meeting with defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris.

Veteran DL Roy Robertson-Harris, who was released by Seattle this week, is visiting the #Cardinals today, per source.

Robertson-Harris was released by the Seattle Seahawks earlier this week after finishing the 2024 season with them.

This isn't quite the news that Cardinals fans have been waiting for.

Adding Robertson-Harris would be more about depth than upgrading the Cardinals' front seven.

He had just twenty total tackles and a pair of sacks this past season between stints with the Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars.

With the Seahawks, he was just a rotational piece, playing only 25% of snaps over his 11 games with the team.

The Cardinals have three of their defensive tackles heading for free agency this offseason, so the team will need to add a bit of depth at the position.

Robertson-Harris could fill that need if his price comes down quite a bit from the $7.2 million per year he was making on his most recent deal.

Even if he signs with the Cardinals, they will still need to make some more impactful moves at the position to fix their defensive line issues.
