Everton are already readying a blockbuster move for Celtic centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Toffees have relied on James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite as their defensive pairing this season but evidently need to strengthen that department.

Michael Keane’s current contract at Goodison Park expires at the end of the season, and the Englishman will leave in the coming months if a new deal can’t be agreed upon.

The Friedkin Group will replace Kevin Thelwell next summer, but it looks like they’re already working on plans to reinforce the squad soon.

Moyes needs Carter-Vickers transfer at Bramley Moore Dock

Moyes will likely take charge at Bramley Moore Dock in the upcoming campaign as the Toffees look to move to their new stadium.

The Scottish manager has changed the mood around the Blues after replacing Sean Dyche in the dugout.

Under the former Burnley head coach, the Merseyside outfit had a realistic threat of going down to the Championship.

Moyes has changed the fortunes at Goodison Park, as the Toffees are now 15 points clear of the relegation zone.

Tarkowski and Branthwaite have been influential since the Scotsman’s return, with the Blues on a six-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

While the Merseyside outfit’s centre-back pairing has been stable, they arguably need to add more quality to their ranks next summer.

Carter-Vickers looks like a decent target for the Toffees, considering his past experience in the English top flight with Tottenham.

While the American defender failed to make a mark at Spurs, he has certainly developed into one of the finest centre-backs in Scotland, but it remains to be seen whether the Blues will sign him soon.
