**As far as in-demand players go, Newcastle United's Alexander Isak has got to be in the top five with several big clubs dreaming of a summer move.**
Alexander Isak's form since joining Newcastle may have shocked a few people, particularly those who stopped following his career after he left Borussia Dortmund.
While Isak started to show what he could do while at Real Sociedad, it's since his move to the Premier League with Newcastle United where it has become apparent that he is a world-class talent.
He's so integral to the Magpies that Eddie Howe has tailored his tactics around Isak in order to get the best out of him.
Alexander Isak is viewed as laid-back by a lot of people
--------------------------------------------------------
The club have stated very adamantly that Isak is going nowhere this summer, and we get the impression that Isak himself is fine with that stance as he seems to genuinely enjoy life on Tyneside.
Indeed, Chris Waugh from [The Athletic](https://open.spotify.com/episode/7xYQ23CAUYfnY2ues9CYZB?si=JKalf7OoSAS7WDC_rHaJMg) has spoken about the Swede's personality and what those who have met him have said about him.
> “The way that he handles himself, I was present last year, at the start of last year, when Alan Shearer interviewed Alexander Isak for The Athletic. And you speak to people in and around Newcastle and ask them about Isak. And he’s sort of like, he’s a very laid back character, but at the same time, he’s also massively driven.“He’s sort of hard to define. And I think that comes across. And so there is that very cold and calculated way he can finish on the pitch.

> “But at the same time, he doesn’t take things too seriously necessarily. He isn’t someone who, as Jacob says, gets too high or low. He isn’t overly emotional, but he is extremely driven and he wants to be the best.”
We've seen Isak lose his head over a game of Guess Who?
-------------------------------------------------------
Having never met the man, personally, I can't say for certain how accurate that is, but having watched plenty of interviews and BTS videos the club has put out, I'd say it describes him to a tee.
Isak always seems laid back until there's a need for his competitive edge to come out. Whether that's on the pitch or in a 'just for fun' quiz or game of Guess Who?.
You can't be as good as Isak without that streak, but we love how he's able to keep it in check unless it's needed. That shows a strong mental fortitude. The attitude of a winner. Our winner.
