Philadelphia Eagles lose veteran pass rusher

Philadelphia Eagles edge rusher Charles Harris is a free agent and can sign anywhere right away. Harris spent the last month and a half on the Eagles' practice squad after being claimed off waivers from the Carolina Panthers in November.

Harris spent just a month on the active roster before being released at the end of December. Once he cleared waivers, Harris landed back on the Eagles' practice squad and stayed there until the team won the Super Bowl.

As a vested veteran on a practice squad, his contract with the team expires one week after the season’s conclusion and he is free to sign with any team. While no team has signed Harris to a reserve/future deal just yet, he can sign a contract with any team as of right now.

A former first-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2017 NFL Draft, Harris has played for the Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, and Panthers before coming to Philadelphia. He spent three seasons with the Dolphins and Lions.

Over his career, Harris has 19.5 sacks and 196 tackles, but he never lived up to the first-round billing he received as a prospect out of Missouri.
