The Detroit Pistons’ NBA G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise, announced Friday they’d acquired former Oakland University star Jack Gohlke in a trade with the Wisconsin Herd, giving up a member of the organization’s first team in 2021-22, ShawnDre Jones.
Best known for leading the Golden Grizzlies to the first-round upset of No. 3 seed Kentucky in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, Gohlke averaged just 3.0 points in 11.0 minutes per game in 20 appearances with the Herd, after playing overseas with KK Podgorica in Montenegro.
Jones was with the Cruise for three seasons, including the organization’s inaugural campaign, averaging 7.6 points and 3.7 assists in 126 appearances.
