The fiery encounter between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky went viral around the world – but on X, it sparked a different kind of meme.

Rather than focusing on the words exchanged, the focal point of the encounter has become Vice President JD Vance, after a user on X made fun of his statement to Zelensky.

‘Have you said thank you once? During this entire meeting?’ he asked the Ukrainian president.

The tense moment has now sparked hundreds, if not thousands, of distorted photos of Vance’s face.

Though distorted photos of his face have been popular for months, a recent photo of Vance in the White House discussion with Zelensky and Trump with his face distorted into a younger version went mega-viral.

It was captioned: ‘You have to say pwease and tank you, Mistow Zensky.’

And the Vice President has now revealed to The Blaze that he actually thinks the trend is funny.

From the ‘lollipop kid’ in Shrek to a bald, creepy staring version of his face on the Las Vegas dome, Americans and even those abroad have taken the opportunity to put Vance’s face in some pretty… unique meme formats.

Though not all of the memes are seemingly ‘negative’. Some Trump supporters have taken the opportunity to share ‘alpha male’ edited versions of Vance, with a chiseled jawline.

Jamie Cohen, an assistant professor of media studies at New York’s Queens College, told the Washington Post: ‘The left saw Vance as a petulant child throwing a tantrum and interrupting Zelensky.

‘The right saw him as a hardened hero championing America First. That’s one of the reasons why you get this dichotomy in the memes.’

Earlier this week, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong threw shade at Vice President JD Vance by changing the lyrics of one of their hit songs.

The pop punk band – which consists of lead singer Billy, bass player Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool – are currently performing Down Under as part of their Saviors tour.

During the band’s set in Melbourne on March 1, Billie Joe, 53, hit out at JD Vance, who is currently serving as President Donald Trump‘s second-in-command.

While performing their 2004 hit Jesus of Suburbia, Green Day switched the lyrics from ‘Am I r******d or am I just overjoyed?’ to ‘Am I r******d or am I just JD Vance?’.

And the jabs didn’t end their as Later on, Billie took aim at the Us President and Tesla founder Elon Musk, asking the Australian audience: “Don’t you want Elon Musk to shut the f**k up? Don’t you want Donald Trump to shut the f**k up?”
