Draft Position At Play For Both Jazz, Raptors

The Jazz enter Friday’s contest owning the worst record in the Western Conference and the third-worst record in the NBA overall.

After falling to the Wizards, the 15-47 Jazz are 1.5 games below the 17-46 New Orleans Pelicans in the West, 0.5 games ahead of the 14-47 Charlotte Hornets, and 2.0 games ahead of the 12-49 Wizards.

The Hornets will host the league-leading Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, while the Pelicans and Wizards are dormant until Saturday.

The Raptors, meanwhile, are 1.0 game back in the standings of the 11th and 12th ranked Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.

At 20-42, the Raptors currently own the fifth-worst record in the NBA and would have a 10.5 percent chance of landing the top overall pick in May’s NBA Draft lottery.

The 76ers need to finish with one of the top six picks in the draft to avoid sending their lottery selection to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Philadelphia is currently slated to select seventh and would convey their pick to the Thunder if they don’t climb the lottery standings.
