The winter transfer window has closed, and for now, Alexander Isak is staying with Newcastle United. While there wasn’t much speculation about a move this winter, several clubs, including PSG, are expected to make another push in the summer.
PSGare prepared to offer Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio in a swap deal to bring Isak to Paris, per a previous report fromRMC Sport.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on Isak ahead of the summer transfer window.Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims the club has already opened talks with his representatives.
The Reds are said to be preparing a major bid for the Sweden international and are willing to break from their usual transfer strategy to secure the 25-year-old forward.
Newcastle have reportedly set Isak’s price at €180 million (£150 million), which would make him Liverpool’s record signing, surpassing the £85 million they paid for Darwin Nunez in 2022.

Signing Isak this summer will come with a hefty price tag. Because of that, The Independent’s Miguel Delaney reported in hisReading the Game newsletter that Arsenal are “less likely” than Liverpool to land him due to the high transfer fee.
“Everyone wants Isak, with Liverpool having developedparticularly strong interest,” Delaney wrote (h/tTEAMtalk). “Arsenal are currently seen as less likely to sign him because of that potential price – possibly up to £150m ormaybe even more. If Isak decided to leave, he really would have his pick.
“Clubs like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are already looking at ways to put together some kind of attractive offer. It makes it all the more important for Newcastle to get back into the Champions League.”
Isak scored 19 Premier League goals this season, trailing only Mohamed Salah with 25 and Erling Haaland with 20.
