Tennessee Titans release Harold Landry III

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Titans and new General Manager Mike Borgonzi have released outside linebacker Harold Landry III.

Landry was selected by the Titans in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Boston College. Since his arrival in Music City, he has amassed 50.5 career sacks, two away from passing Jevon Kearse for the most in a Titans jersey. Landry was named to the Pro Bowl in 2021 after a career-high 12 sacks. He too the quarterback down nine times in 2024.

Landry signed a five-year contract extension in 2022 worth $87.5 million. Tennessee’s decision to cut him saves the franchise over $10 million. However, if the Titans designate him as a post-June 1 release, that money increases to more than $17 million.
