A judge in St. Petersburg has [jailed](https://t.me/SPbGS/19941) Alexander Arsenyev on misdemeanor charges of “politically motivated” vandalism and felony charges of “discrediting” the Russian army. Though the court has not revealed what Arsenyev allegedly spraypainted on a public fence, reporting by [Fontanka](https://www.fontanka.ru/2025/03/07/75191855/), Bumaga, and Mediazona indicates that it was the pacifist phrase: “I don’t want to get used to war.”
Police reportedly arrested Alexander Arsenyev, 38, at his home in Moscow, where officers say they found spray paint cans and a gray acrylic marker in a plastic bag.
