Keyonte George Forces Miss, Euro Steps Through Defenders On Other End

TORONTO – In the fourth quarter against the Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George showed off his versatility with a defensive stop and a smooth finish to cap off the fastbreak.

After contesting Jared Rhoden’s layup attempt, George ran the floor and euro-stepped around Jamal Shead for two.

Keyonte George Has Solid Outing Up North

In 27 minutes of action, George posted 16 points, six rebounds, and eight assists against Toronto. He was one of six Jazz players to reach double figures.

Despite shooting struggles, Utah pieced together a late run to close the gap.

After tailing by as much as 16, the Jazz had the Raptors lead down to six with five minutes left.

George was the leading assist man at Scotiabank Arena. Isaiah Collier trailed him with six dimes.

Regarding points scored, no player really stuck out for Utah.

The MVP of the game was easily Walker Kessler though. He threatened a late triple-double with 14 points, 24 rebounds, and 7 blocks.

Raptors Host Jazz For First Matchup Of Season Series

The Utah Jazz are up north for the second game of their five-game road trip as they prepare to take on the Toronto Raptors for the first time this season.

Through 62 games, both Utah and Toronto are bottom five teams in the NBA. The Jazz are last in the West and 28th overall with a record of 15-47. The Raptors are 13th in the East and 26th overall with record of 20-42.

Coming into the matchup, Toronto has won back-to-back games and three of their last six. Meanwhile, the Jazz have lost three straight and only have one win in their last six games. Although the Raptors aren’t really in contention for the top lottery odds, both teams’ goals in the final stretch of the season are aligned.
