Aaron Rodgers Predicted to Join AFC Team With First-Year Head Coach

The NFL free agency period will soon commence, with a couple of big-time names set to hit the open market, such as former New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers headlines an intriguing quarterback market that also features Russell Wilson, Justin Fields and Sam Darnold.

The 41-year-old spent two seasons with the Jets after 18 years with the Green Bay Packers. Last season, Rodgers posted 28 touchdowns and 3,897 yards with a 63.0 completion percentage.

As Rodgers looks to find a new home, a recent free agency prediction list has the future Hall of Fame quarterback landing with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Garrett Podell at CBS Sports predicts Rodgers will sign with the Raiders, mentioning that Las Vegas seems to be just outside of the quarterback market with their No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Raiders are heading into a new chapter of the organization next season under first-year head coach Pete Carroll.

Las Vegas parted ways with Antonio Pierce after a 4-13 season in which they won just two games at Allegiant Stadium.

Last season, the Raiders started a handful of quarterbacks, including Gardner Minshew, Aidan O'Connell and Desmond Ridder. While these look to be serviceable options for Las Vegas, the addition of a new quarterback seems imminent.
