'We've already beaten them': Chris Billam-Smith on Cherries FA Cup run

Quarterfinals of the FA Cup. I'm excited. Yes, we have tough opposition in the next round against Man City, but we've already beaten them at home this season. Also, if we're going to get to Wembley we have to beat the top teams.

I couldn't make the game against Wolves as I moved house the day before, but I was in the garden playing football with my toddler and we could hear the ground from the new place which is so exciting for him (and me!).

I did manage to catch up on the highlights and we must give credit to the woodwork at the north end, doing all that defending for the penalties. Maybe Dango Ouattara should take Dean Huijsen's nickname as 'chill guy' because Dango's penalty was very cold indeed!

_(Image: Adam Davy/PA Wire)_ The issue with us reaching Wembley is the semifinal weekend. Games to be played 26th/27th April. I'm a tad busy that weekend with a fight at Tottenham Hotspur stadium. I have checked the distance between the stadiums, in case WHEN we win, we are the Saturday slot. Can I get from Wembley to Tottenham in time to get my hands wrapped and warm up before my ring walk? Maybe Shane can come with me to do the hand wraps on the way to the fight... of course I jest. That wouldn't be very professional of me now, would it?

As for Tottenham, I'm feeling confident about Sunday. We have had a dip in results recently but that won't last long and I believe Tottenham will allow us to get opportunities and in turn, goals. Once AGAIN, I can't make it due to attending the Six Nations at Twickenham with my Dad. Luckily, still a very exciting day for us both!

Training is going well though and I feel hugely motivated after visiting the BIC for the boxing last weekend. What a great experience it was, to be there as a fan and soaking up the atmosphere that venue amplifies.

_(Image: Leigh Dawney/Queensberry Promotions)_ I genuinely think, there is no better arena in the world for that size. It's a daunting, bear pit of noise for any 'away' fighter and that's exactly what it was for Salvador Jimenez, Ryan Garner's opponent.

Jimenez looked like he was enjoying the jeers and lapping them up as he climbed into the ring. However, Ryan performed absolutely superbly, winning every single round on all three scorecards. You don’t get more dominating than that in a boxing ring without a knockdown or a knockout.

Even though there were a few fans who missed the main event due to getting into their own scuffles, which is always sad to see. What is great to see is boxing booming on the south coast with many fighters still coming through.

Exciting times for the area!
