Insider Offers Massive Update on New York Giants, Aaron Rodgers Talks

The New York Giants appear to be the most likely landing spot for future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason.

After Rodgers and the New York Jets decided to part ways, there has been a lot of speculation about where he could end up. There are not a lot of teams who would be in a position to want to sign him.

While the Los Angeles Rams became a hot topic for Rodgers, Matthew Stafford came to terms on a new deal. Geno Smith has now been traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, filling their quarterback need.

Right now, there are only four teams that make the most sense for Rodgers.

Those four teams appear to be the Giants, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and possibly the Seahawks. Outside of those four teams, it's hard to find a fit.

Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com, a beat writer covering New York, has offered a massive update about the negotiations between Rodgers and the Giants.

During an appearance on Friday's episode of the "Pat McAfee Show," Stapleton offered the update and made it clear that New York has not been scared off by Rodgers.

"My understanding is, yes, they've talked about what it would take to get Aaron here with the Giants, to not leave New Jersey, and my understanding is that at every turn the Giants have yet to be scared off by the idea of Aaron Rodgers coming on some show every Tuesday," Stapleton said. "It seems like everybody wants that to be a big issue. But I think from a football fit, this is something that they're seriously considering."

"My understanding is that the Giants are significantly interested in Aaron Rodgers..

I don't think it would be a shock to people if he was the Giants Quarterback next season"@art_stapleton#PMSLivepic.twitter.com/VTLCpavy4d

Rodgers could put the Giants back on the map in the NFC. Despite all of the criticism he has received and the claims that he is "washed up," the 41-year-old still has good football left in the tank.

During the 2024 NFL season with the Jets, Rodgers ended up playing in all 17 games. He complete 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
