4-3-3: Maresca set to make tactical tweak for Leicester reunion - Predicted Chelsea XI

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon, taking on relegation-threatened Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues will be looking to ramp up their top-four ambitions with back-to-back league wins after putting four past Southampton in their last outing.

Enzo Maresca’s side head into this weekend’s contest following a narrow 2-1 win against FC Copenhagen in their Europa Conference League last 16 first-leg contest in Denmark.

They’d be keen to make it three wins in a row against Leicester to keep their momentum going.

How Chelsea could line up

Marescais expected to make wholesale changes to the side that beat Copenhagen.

Chelsea will be without Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu until after the international break, but Romeo Lavia has returned to training and should be in the mix in the coming weeks.

Filip Jorgensen is set to replace Robert Sanchez in goal after sitting out the Conference League win.

Malo Gusto picked up a knock just 25 minutes into the game against the Danish powerhouse, butMaresca confirmed it was nothing serious, meaning he should be available to face Leicester.

However, there’s a decent he would start Sunday’s fixture on the bench as a precaution, with Trevoh Chalobah set to continue at right back.

Benoit Badiashile got 45 minutes of football in Denmark to get his juices flowing after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, butshould alsobe relegated to the bench.

His compatriot Wesley Fofana is also available for selection, but Tosin Adarabioyo will likely retain his place in the XI alongside Levi Colwill and Marc Cucurella.

Reece James produced a fantastic performance in midfield, and Maresca will likely continue with that experiment after admitting that he sees the 25-year-old as a midfielder.

He’d hold down the fort with Moises Caicedo, allowing Enzo Fernandez to operate higher up the pitch alongside Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku.

Pedro Neto was an unused substitute against Copenhagen and will likely return to the XI in his false nine role.

Predicted XI;

(4-3-3): Jorgensen; Chalobah, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Cucurella; James, Fernandez, Caicedo; Neto, Palmer, Nkunku.
