Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has addressed Jack Grealish's future at the club amid a potential move for the 29-year-old from Newcastle United as they plan for their summer window.

Chronicle Live previously reported that the winger could be offered to the Magpies in the summer transfer window with City understood to be open to offers. It has been noted that the Manchester club's asking price is expected to be far less than the £100m they paid to Aston Villa in 2021, although his huge £300,000 per week wages are expected to be a stumbling block.

However, Newcastle are not the only club credited with interest in Grealish, who has two years remaining on his current deal. Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and even Villa have been linked with a move in recent times.

Despite speculation surrounding Grealish's future, Guardiola insists nothing will be decided until the end of the season. The current Premier League champions face a battle for top four, while they are also competing in both the Champions League and FA Cup.

"What happens in terms of Jack, in terms of everyone, they will be treated at the end of the season," Guardiola told the media on Friday. "Now we are playing for many important things for the club. He is a player for Man City, there is no doubt about that. What will happen? I don't know what is going to happen."

Grealish has made over 150 appearances across all competitions for City following his move in 2021, scoring 16 goals in that time.

This season, he has featured on 26 occasions with two goals to his name, but has amassed a little over 30 minutes of action in the Premier League since the end of December.

Speaking on Grealish's lack of minutes, Guardiola added: "I want Jack at his best, of course, but he's had setbacks and didn't play. That was sometimes for the injuries, he could not get the rhythm that you need for being ready every three days. Jack played really good the last game and hopefully he can have the consistency."
