Arsenal midfielder Zac Shuaib is on trial at Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 18-year-old recently returned to training with Arsenal U18s after four months out injured.
Shuaib is unlikely to be offered a professional contract by Arsenal and is now spending time at Brighton, for whom he has been named on the bench at U18 level against Southampton today.
A tall presence in midfield with good passing ability, Shuaib signed for Arsenal as a schoolboy. He has made ten appearances for the Gunners at U18 level since signing scholarship terms in 2023.
Another of Arsenal’s second year scholars, Bless Akolbire, has signed professional terms with Leicester, while Reece Clairmont previously had a trial at West Ham. Jakai Fisher is also a candidate to depart, with Max Kuczynski’s future remaining uncertain.
